I will work with both sides to ensure we keep an oil tax on the books that gives Alaska a fair share for its oil and encourages exploration and development. And I will invest in renewable energy projects that use our wind, hydro and geothermal resources to generate affordable power.

I believe that all Alaskans deserve a quality education. This means voluntary pre-K programs, strong high schools, vocational choices, and a great university system. And as a former prosecutor, I know what it takes to build safe communities.

Building better communities is also helped by investing in infrastructure. During my time in the State Senate, I have helped put millions of state dollars to work on local roads and infrastructure projects.
